Munus keeps the special days of the people you love and your gift ideas. We don't sell your data, we don't use it for advertising and we don't share it with third parties.
The only place anything is shared is a family group you created or joined — and even there you decide what becomes visible.
Account details: your name, email address and profile photo when you sign in with Google or Apple. We never see your password.
Your profile: the name, birthday, interests and photo you enter.
Your records: the people you add, birthdays, occasions, gift ideas and wish lists.
Device settings: preferences such as how many days before a reminder arrives and the app language stay on your phone only.
Your records are stored on Google Firebase (Firestore), tied to your account.
Photos are resized and embedded in the record itself; they are not uploaded to a separate image store.
Records you move into a family group are visible to that group's members. Records in your personal space are visible to nobody but you.
We never show you who picked an item from your own wish list. This is not hidden in the app — it is enforced by a database rule: that record is never sent to you.
Likewise, if someone added an idea for you as a surprise, that record never reaches your account.
Photos and camera: used only when you pick a profile photo.
Contacts: read only when you choose "Add from contacts". People with a birthday are listed; only the ones you select are saved into the app, and your address book is never sent anywhere.
Notifications: to remind you of special days. Reminders are scheduled on your phone, not sent from a server.
You can revoke any permission from your phone settings at any time.
You can edit or delete your records at any time.
Settings > Data lets you permanently delete all your records or your entire account. Deleting your account also closes the family groups you created.
